A 1st horse whisperer is thought to develop been Xenophon. Now, many trainers & clinicians call for themselves horse whisperers, typically building on the function of Willis J. Powell, as well as that of John Solomon Rarey in the 1850s, Tom Dorrance, and still later Ray Hunt (trainer).
Dorrance's True Unity & Hunt's Believe Harmony Using Horses advocate "true understanding" of the horse.
